REFILL YOUR CUP

Small spark of hope, joy, and optimism
Welcome to Refill Your Cup - a place for encouragement, optimism, and practical ways to recharge your spirit.
Refill Your Cup - First things first:
Originally, my plan was to give these “Refill you cup” encouragements on Fridays. But they managed to land on Sundays instead, and I’m so glad they did. While the various Judeo - Christian groups vary in observing a Sabbath rest on Saturdays or Sundays, the overall principle is to have a day of rest that is dedicated to God. Like all of us, I have been imperfect in observing this, as life and our humanity sometimes gets in the way. I’m so grateful for God’s grace and mercy. Yet, I hope to inspire you to know that the ultimate source for refilling your cup is the Joy of the Lord. And when you keep “First things first”, everything else just works.
Regardless of how you choose to refill your cup, I hope you will take time at the beginning of each week to rest and recharge. You’ll be more productive and get more impactful work done, if you’ll prioritize doing this.
A Final Note
Peace, Joy, Hope, Love, and Encouragement to Refill Your Cup
“Remember, even little steps taken with hope, joy, and optimism can make a big difference. Keep refilling your cup, so you can pour out to others. Shine your light to drive out the darkness!”
With a heart of encouragement,

Refill Your Cup - Background:
If you are curious how Refill Your Cup began…
The journey began in 2017, during a season when I was feeling very discouraged. After praying for direction, I felt the nudge to share encouragement with others. It felt like such a strange thing to do when I wasn’t feeling encouraged myself. But I started sending little notes, via text or email, of encouragement to family members - simple reminders to life our hearts. Over time, I discovered that when you share hope, joy, optimism, and light to others, it flows back and refills you too.
Fast forward to 2024, and after joining a weekly devotional that was only 15 minutes long, I saw how powerful something so brief could be. No matter how busy life gets, we can always carve out a moment to renew our outlook. And I’ve learned that you can’t pour into others when your own cup is empty. Taking time to restore your mind and soul isn’t selfish - it’s essential.
What started as a weekly encouragement session at work, evolved into a podcast, which has now expanded to an email newsletter as well.
